A note from John Parisio, co-founder of the Carpet Store:

On September of 1979, myself and my partner Dan Ferraro opened The Carpet Store with the idea of selling good quality flooring in Ulster county. Our business continued to grow and in 1990 my son Christopher joined us. Chris specializes in commercial and residential sales. I knew from the very beginning that along with good quality flooring that you need good installers and we make sure our installers are qualified and well trained. I also wanted to make sure that The Carpet Store kept a larger inventory of carpet, vinyl, laminate and hardwood, so our customers would be able to receive the best price possible. After 30 years, customer service is still our no. 1 priority.
